Bad Xmas Horror Movies

I am a huge bad horror film lover. The cheesier and dumber the movie the more I will love it. I am a crazy Bruce Campbell fan. One of my loves in this category of movies is Christmas Films.

So since today is Christmas I thought I'd share a couple with you.

Santa's Slay
Bill Goldberg plays an evil Santa who goes around killing. It is hilarious from the beginning to the end. Definitely in my top 3.

Jack Frost
A serial killer gets mutated into a killer snowman and goes out for revenge. So cheesy and fun. Love the movie now for years. Funny story, My boss at one of my first jobs, was one of the main actors in the film and he thought it was funny I had seen it so many times I recognized him.

Jack Frost 2
Of course when you're talking about Jack Frost you can't forget the sequel. This time the snowman is back and follows the sheriff and his family to the Bahamas and turns it into a winter wonderland.

Both Jack Frost's are kooky and cheesy and full of lots of laughs and you can be certain I will be watching them tonight.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays.

Lost Girl Season 1

When this show originally aired I skipped watching it because I thought it was something completely different and already had a full plate of other tv shows I watch. (I am a tv fanatic, you can catch my tv blog where I try to keep you up to date with everything in the tv would. Tvtopurrby.blogspot.com ) So when someone finally convinced me to watch the first episode the series was already 9 episodes in and I was hooked and watched all 9 episodes that day.

The basis for the show is a succubus on the run from her life accidentally stumbles on the supernatural world. They help her discover what she is and show her about the opposing factions of Light and Dark Fae. She learns of the centuries old war and wants nothing to do with it. She is just in search of her mother since she comes across a Fae that tells her she is alive. The first season really focuses on Bo (Anna Silk) search to find her mother and learn of her origins.

Both Bo and her human friend Kenzie are Hot. At least in my opinion, along with her werewolf/police officer love interest.

The show is so much fun. We see all the different types of paranormal creatures and mythology that the writers can think of and twist.

Season 2 is coming to a close now and I'm slightly behind. I do though HIGHLY RECOMMEND catching this series. You can find it on Showcase Canada and on Syfy.

I really love the rise in paranormal shows because they work outside our box of reality and give us some fun fantasy to enjoy for a half an hour to an hour at a time.

World of Warcraft

I play World of Warcraft. I know a lot of people don't understand it, hate it because they've lost friends or lovers to it, or have been addicted to it at some point. I've always had a love/hate relationship with the game.

I have guild led, raid led, healed with some interesting groups, met amazing folks, ran with the top 50, and spent time with real life people that mean the world to me.

I nowadays play a Priest named Kinkekitty on Hyjal,US or you may find me playing one of my many alts. (Feel free to say Hi, if you play.)

I have raided in all content. I have killed all but Sinestra (:( But I am thinking of forming a run for her.. cause I'd love to see her.)

I collect pets, mounts and achievements. Yes I'm a girl get over it. :) I love playing the auctionhouse. I prefer playing with friends rather then running alone.

I love the healing classes, it's like my WoW calling and most of my friends have at least 1 tank class. Making it so I rarely have to heal someone I don't know.

The game is constantly changing and I'm not sure about the upcoming expansion but I will give it a try. I like the way they are adding in a pet battle arena, I'll admit that excites me.

I love the time the devolopers have put into holidays for the gamers, giving us something to look forward to year around.

The new darkmoon faire is the most interesting recent change and the added Carnivalness is fun and gives us with pet hysteria a new grind.

If you don't play WoW by now and haven't checked it out, give it a try.

You can find a 10 day pass at Battle.net

Zune

While everyone listens to music on their Ipods, I'm part of the small percentage that owns a Zune. I also own an Ipod Nano, 16 GB Ipod, and a Iphone, but unless I've lost the charging cord for my Zune, you'll find me rocking out to music on my light pink Limited Edition Zune with pink M&M's earbuds. Yes I'm a girl, get over it :)

I have loved my Zune since the day I found it waiting for me behind the counter at the horrible Gamestop, I only walk into because I can't not look at all the games I want to buy. My Zune has become my central music piece and replaced the likes of any of my Apple products for so many reasons. It's an amazing player and I love that I've owned it for about 5 years now and it still works as well as the day it came out of the box. The biggest reason of course other than its incredibly long life is I don't have to deal with Itunes. Now I'm not saying that the Zune Marketplace is amazing, because honestly I've never used it. I buy CD's and MP3's off amazon and from record stores. I don't like the way Itunes is set up, I don't like how slow it runs when your collection gets up there in songs.

Music is like my lifeblood. You rarely find me without some sort of music, my kindle even has like 15 albums on it.

I love that the Zune has a radio. Which other people may not be interested in, but one of my biggest hobbies is "winning" and radio contests are great for that. (maybe I'll write a post about that later on.)

I love, love, love the lock at the top. It keeps me from accidentally changing the song and saves battery life. I think it's the most intelligent thing they thought to add to it, that rises it above the Ipod or any other MP3 device. The Zune also pauses when you pull out the earphones which I do constantly from it getting caught on something because I'm not paying attention.

I like the ease with which I can choose which music I want on my player without having too much trouble and the syncing doesn't take all day like with the Ipod and Itunes.

My Zune has been a rock. It's a first generation back before colors, when Pink was still a limited edition and crazy expensive. It has outlasted all my other MP3 players, including my first Ipod bought around the same time.

I don't know what I'd do without it. Someday I will buy another one and when I do I will give this one the send off it deserves because it's lasted me so long, provided me comfort during sad times, music to dance to, music to vent and cry to, songs to laugh to and has lived through the best and worst days of the last 5 years.

For this I say.

Yay ZUNE!!

Geeking out.

I am a geek.

I am a gamer.

I am a girl.

I love sci-fi, bad movies, fantasy books, technology, robots, dinosaurs, cute girly stuff. I read comic books. I love humor and computers. I spend half my time on computers. I love snack food. I love cosplay. All these things make me the nerdy, geeky girl I am.

I am opinionated, loud and I love to talk, so here goes. I'm gonna write about all these geeky, review the fantasy, sci-fi, technology, comic books and everything in between, I feel like sharing with you. :)

So sit back, turn on some Dr. Who, Fringe, Clone Wars, Family Guy, or Dexter and let me tell you tales and give you my thoughts on the new, the old and everything else here in cyber world.
